Spanish for Kids: First Words

¡Hola! This beginner course introduces children to Spanish (Español) in 12 bite-size lessons: greetings, numbers, colors, animals, family, food, fruits, big and small, toys, the park, polite words and all about me. Every lesson has picture word cards with a play button so children hear each word, a sound tip, a short practice task and a quiz with listen-and-pick questions.

What your child will learn

• Say hello, goodbye, please and thank you
• Count from one to ten
• Name colors, animals, family members and favorite foods
• Name fruits, toys and things at the park, and use big and small
• Use polite words and talk about themselves
• Recognize words by ear

Who it is for

• Grades 1-2 children who are new to Spanish (older beginners in grades 3-8 can start here too)
• Parents who want to learn alongside their child

Each lesson takes about eight minutes. Children earn a certificate when they finish every lesson and pass each quiz.
